Abstract
This study examines the causes of Casino suicides and tries to show the relationships between the suicide and Casino gambling by using the psychological autopsy method. Three Casino gamblers who committed suicide were chosen by purposive sampling, and their bereaved wives were interviewed. Padgett(1998)¡¯s analysis method was applied to the collected data. As a result, we found that the suicides were related to the suicides¡¯ negative emotion such as inferiority complex, anger and emptiness; to family conflicts caused by Casino gambling; to the passive interpersonal relationship; to the psychological changes as suicide symptoms. Based on these findings, we proposed some practical suggestions for the prevention of suicide.
